Are the INTJ and ENTP a romantic jackpot? This article gives you more insight on what attracts them to each other, their struggles and how they overcome them. Despite their personality differences and similarities, the INTJ and ENTP can make quite the compatible pair. Introverts are more reserved individuals especially in social settings. The ENTP on the other hand takes control and connects with the crowd on an intellectual level.

This can be one of the things that attracts the INTJ as they require a partner who is quite intelligent, has a critical thinking skill and also shares the logical mindset that they have. ENTPs are more extroverted than the introverted INTJ. However they can make something work.

Similarities and Differences Between The INTJ and ENTP

Both the INTJ and the ENTP are creative geniuses who tend to think outside the box more often than not. They both have a dominant thinking function which makes them both logical in decision making. Both the INTJ and the ENFP are intuitive in nature as well. All these similarities can also be a challenge.

Both personalities are argumentative and this can be a problem when conflict arises. Their difference in creative process can also pose a problem. INTJs are more creative in nature and they spend a lot of time in their heads. This doesn’t make a lot of sense to the ENTP who believes in more rational thinking.

INTJs are very introverted in nature and are said to be the most introverted of all personality types. ENTPs on the other hand do not mind controlling the room if the situation asks for it. They are more outgoing and prefer engaging in intellectual conversation.

The INTJ and ENTP Communication Style

Both this personality types enjoy good communication and although ENTPs love to lead to conversation, the INTJ would be sure to speak up when necessary. INTJs truly enjoy talking about things they are passionate about. Although they are strong and firm communicators individually, problems can arise from miscommunications.

INTJs tend to have abrasive word choices and ENTPs are very prone to engaging in arguments. They have impeccable debate skills and try their best to pass their points across. But INTJs find it difficult to change their views especially when they are certain of it.

Both personalities can be quite dismissive of each other when they aren’t on the same page. It is quite common for them to be dismissive of each other and think the other ignorant and not well informed.

The INTJ and ENTP Values

Both these personality types share similar values. For one they are quite logical, take self development and improvement seriously and are innovative. Excluding this however, they have quite different values.

The INTJ requires stricture and alone time in order to function properly. They place logic and innovation above all things. The INTJ would rather spend time on their own, observing and taking a backseat approach towards life. They aren’t completely emotionally aware and this is something they struggle with.

The ENTP takes social connections and freedom very seriously. They are outgoing and social and will strike a conversation with anyone at any time. One reason they thrive in their social and work lives. They also appreciate truth and honesty from people around them.

The INTJ and ENTP Love Languages

Neither of these personality types are very much in touch with their emotional or sentimental part. This means they have their own means of expressing their love. For the INTJ, quality time with their partner would be on top of the list. They also love physical touch and acts of service. This is how they express and feel loved.

The ENTP on the other hand also loves physical touch. They love spending time with their partners and learning things from them which is just what the INTJ needs. Their love languages show they are a perfect match for each other.

Reasons Why INTJ and ENTP Make A Good Match

There are a good number of reasons that make the INTJ and ENTP good for each other. The conversations these two would have would be out of worldly. They can spend time discussing so many things from technology to science and even politics.

These personality types are also problem solvers and would enjoy a good debate every now and then. They might have different perspectives but that’s an opportunity to grow and understand the other person. You can’t find these two never not having an intelligent conversation and approach to things.

They aren’t conventionally emotional but their means of doing so can be in sync with each other. This also means they can understand the other person a lot better. Although the INTJ is more withdrawn from the world than the ENTP, they are sure to find a balance somewhere.

Reasons INTJ and ENTP Do Not Make A Good Match

We have couples with this personality type that just won’t make the cut for a plethora of reasons. One reason is the lack of emotional insight by the INTJ which the ENTP might misjudge often.

The INTJ can be arrogant and this might not sit well with the ENTP who can be insensitive sometimes. This can cause them to constantly argue. They both hate compromising so that can also be a challenge.

Before they come to a conclusion on topics, they might have done their research and this makes it harder for them to budge. There might be the challenge of picking up emotional cues which they both struggle with. Eventually this can end the relationship.

How To Overcome Struggles As The INTJ and ENTP Couple

Couples tend to go through their struggles every now and then and this personality match isn’t any different. Although there are a good number of reasons why they do not belong together, there’s also a good reason why they do.

The INTJs stubbornness can be difficult to bear and so is the insensitivity of the ENTP. But their chemistry can be out of this world. As long as they find a balance and are willing to compromise — yes, compromise — they can make it work.

Although compromising can be difficult for them, there’s nothing impossible for two adults who decide to make it work.
